The Assumption Parish Courthouse has rather enormous maps showing who the early landowners were. I thought I’d share. Please ignore my poor photographer skills. I am not a skilled photographer. Shocked, huh?

Hi there and THANKS for sharing!!!! Do you happen to see a Antoine Francioni listed? Joseph Graziani? Antoine Francioni was the father-in-law of Joseph Graziani, who married his daughter Marie. They were all living in Labadieville, Assumption Parish before 1850…Thanks!!!!!

Hi, Patrick. You probably want to check the Assumption Parish land records. Here’s a link to the index: https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/215051?availability=Family%20History%20Library I see a lot of Francionis. Be sure to check the vendor and the vendee indexes. Hope that helps!
I live in Massachusetts and looking for someone to assist me in some Assumption Courthouse records. Are you available?
I can provide limited research. Email me at michellemill@bellsouth.net with what you need. At the very least, I can look at indexes for you and you can call the courthouse for the actual records since I don’t live in Assumption Parish.
